由一個華人、兩個墨西哥人和一個白人所組成的Deftones，95 年在 Madonna的廠牌「Maverick」旗下發行首張專輯《Adrenaline》，旋即以雜揉狂暴Industrial與急驟Hardcore的曲風，侵襲了搖滾圣殿。在The Deftones高動能吉他N墻的襲擊之下，黑暗之神擁抱大地。主唱Chino Moreno如念咒般的噪音，敘述一波又一波的瘋狂意念，帶領眾搖滾信徒遠離虛擬塵世，側身走進欲念主宰的真時空間。Deftones成功的融合了朋克音樂，流行音樂，嘻蹦樂和傳統重金屬。
