《弱點》根據邁克爾·劉易斯（Michael Lewis）的原著《弱點：比賽進程》（The Blind Side: Evolution of the Game）改編而來，影片講述了今年美國國家橄欖球聯盟（National Football League)首批被選球員邁克爾·奧赫的不凡經歷。黑人奧赫（昆東•亞倫 Quinton Aaron 飾）自幼父母離異，無家可歸。不過，木訥的他卻因為極強的身體條件和運動天賦，幸運地進入了一家孤兒院。雖然，他科科零分，但是一些細節卻讓他顯得與眾不同。一次排球比賽后，他主動收拾垃圾的行為，引起了陶西一家的注意。于是，陶西太太（桑德拉•布洛克 Sandra Bullock 飾）決定收養奧赫，并把他培養成橄欖球選手。陶西太太讓他感受到了家庭的溫暖。同時，陶西的兒子還幫助奧赫訓練，使他很快地融入了橄欖球隊的生活，不斷激發運動的潛能。終于，在一次比賽中，他因出色的表現嶄露頭角，開始獲得了球探的關注，隨之帶來了一系列的甜蜜和麻煩……
本片女主角Sandra Bullock (桑德拉·布洛克)榮獲第82屆奧斯卡最佳女主角獎。
